The service
Powder to the People is a free community utility. We provide snow and weather information for informational purposes only. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Not for safety decisions
Data may be wrong, delayed, incomplete, or estimated. Do not rely on this site for avalanche, backcountry, or travel safety decisions. Always consult your local avalanche center and official sources before entering avalanche terrain.
Data and attribution
We aggregate data from NOAA/NWS, RCC-ACIS, USDA NRCS SNOTEL, Open-Meteo, and other sources listed on our About page. Open-Meteo data is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. You must comply with upstream licenses when reusing data.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not scrape, bulk-download, or automate access at abusive rates that could harm the service or upstream providers.
Donations and sponsors
Optional donations are voluntary gifts. They are non-refundable and do not purchase goods, services, subscriptions, or support. Sponsors get a labeled line of text and a link; they do not influence the numbers.
Trademarks
Resort and mountain names are trademarks of their respective owners. Powder to the People is not affiliated with or endorsed by any resort or brand unless we say so explicitly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serknight LLC and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the service or its data.
Governing law
