About
Snow reports used to be free. We think they still should be. No paywall, no ads, no “pro” tier, no pop-ups. Just the number, where it came from, and when.
Nearly 400 ski areas across the US and Canada with 24-hour, 7-day, 10-day and season-to-date snow, plus percent of normal where station history exists.
Observed snow comes from NRCS SNOTEL and RCC-ACIS stations when a resort has one nearby. Everything else is modeled from Open-Meteo and says so.
No paywall, no ads, no account. The code and the resort catalog are open so anyone can fix a station link or add a hill.
Not for avalanche or backcountry safety decisions. Always check your regional avalanche center.
This site costs about a lift ticket a month to run and will never charge you for a number. If your shop, resort or brand wants its name on a snow report that will never sell your attention, say hello. A line of text and a link, labeled as a sponsor. No tracking, no pop-ups. I’ll be picky.
Say helloPowder Union is our sister site: free snow reports for 650-plus ski areas across Europe, from the Alps and the Pyrenees to the Nordics and the Balkans, built by a friend on the same idea. No ads, no login.
Visit Powder UnionThis runs on hosting and API budgets the size of a lift ticket. If it helped you find a good day, chip in.
